Company Team Building at Camp Tipolo Rizal

May 22, 2013

IMG_3442

Camp Tipolo is a training camp of sort where companies can organize their team buildings. Last saturday, my team was fortunate enough to experience the rough training in the camp. There were a lot of screaming, splashes, laughter and trash talk. It was pretty fun. Haha.

IMG_3643IMG_3640 IMG_3650IMG_3596 IMG_3484 IMG_3720 I’ve been to a few team buildings but this one was probably the most intense and challenging. I got to try so many things such as the Tarzan Jump which I sucked, the tight rope which I was good at and the mud crawl which was just plain dirty. What’s exciting about it all was that you know you could end up failing but it’s okay because you’re not the only one. Haha! I didn’t try the the  Balancing Log, though, because first step onto the log and I was already quivering. Balancing simply isn’t my thing. [Read more…]

Birthday Wishlist Ver. 23.0

May 14, 2013

wishlistIn just a few weeks I’m turning another year older, and for the first time in a long time, I actually feel excited. I’m a birthday grinch after all, but suddenly growing older doesn’t sound too bad!

Anyway, since my birthday’s near, it’s time for another wish list! I don’t want much this year. Oh really.

  1. Holga 120 – I borrowed Kimpee’s Holga 120 for my Hong Kong/Macau trip last weekend, and I enjoyed using it! I think most of my shots are fail ones, though. Haha. I also bought a box of three color negative films, and I didn’t get to use one. So I now feel obliged to buy my own Holga to use the films. Haha. A secondhand will do. 🙂
  2.  16GB SD card – I’ve had my phone for about 6 months now, but I’m getting a bit stingy about this. Hee.
  3. The Complete Sherlock Holmes – I already have the ebook but I’d really rather have the books. I got addicted to Sherlock Holmes after I watched the BBC series Sherlock. Then I watched RDJ’s Sherlock Holmes, then watched Elementary! So I really, really want to read the book.
  4. 4GB flash drive – Just because. 🙂
  5. Close encounter with CNBLUE – They’re having a concert here in June so I’m hoping that I’d be able to get in close contact with them in the airport. Haha.
  6. Tone concert DVD – Pretty much the only thing I’m planning to buy in HK but I passed by only one music store and it’s not available. When oh when would I be able to buy this one. Huhu

Dear friends, I know that most aren’t cheap, but you can just chip in if you want. I won’t mind. Wahahaha. 🙂

Baby Factory

May 7, 2013

My boyfriend once asked me if we have a factory of babies at home. I seem to always talk about babies all the time! Well, we sadly do not have a baby factory, it’s just that I’m from a pretty big family. There’s always someone getting married or someone getting pregnant. It’s a blessing really, because babies are the ones who make family gatherings the most fun. I love kids, too, so that’s a plus.

Also, I call them babies despite being in grade school already. I don’t know. I feel sad when they grow older and they’re not cute anymore. Just smart asses who always get the best of me. Haha.

mika 2

Meet Mikaela Princess. We had multiple celebrations last Sunday and one of those was her birthday. She just turned 4 and she’s also starting to be the resident brat of the family. I’ve talked about her once here. She’s so adorable, though, that even when she throw tantrums, we just stare at her with awe. She’s cute, cute, cute.

And here’s another photo of her continuously proving that she can be bratty but she’s just too cute to resist.

mariel

Meet Mariel. She pouts like that all the time and you feel like pouting yourself, too. And when you see her, you just say “Ngusooooooo” and she does that. She’s so pretty!

Ngusoooo!

kyra

And finally, the newest addition to our family! She’s Kyra Yzabella and she still doesn’t have a nickname. People call her different monickers, and no one can’t seem to agree what to call her. Her mommy just calls her Bebe, and that’s fine, too.

She’s Kynan’s little sister, and ever since she was born, Kynan no longer goes to our house to play. But I don’t mind. I can’t wait for Kyra to grow bigger and older and she’ll come over to our house to play, too. Hello, new playmate!

And they’re ex-babies, because they are now ladies. But Gianna still seems like a baby sometimes because she’s so soft and fair and she wears white all the time! They’re still cuddly, though.

And below are my grandparents who are no longer babies, of course, because they’re my grandparents. Haha. But they’re still child-like sometimes, and they’re incredibly adorable together and I love them. And they’re pretty much the CEOs of the baby factory so their photo belongs here. Heh.

Silver Birthday

March 25, 2013

ate and me

Growing up with an older sister means there’s always someone playing with your toys, arguing with you, debunking the hearsay you consider facts, and telling you straight out when you’re being stupid. Growing up with an older sister means new clothes are just hand-me-downs, and your actual new ones can be stretched out from the borrowing.

But having an older sister also means you’ll never have to play alone, and there’s always someone to sleep next to you on scary childhood nights. Having an older sister means having someone save you from going hungry because your college allowance ran out and having someone stop you from being too stupid for society. It means having someone to depend and having someone always look out for you.

Though I always say I dream of an older brother, I always feel like I’m blessed to have a sister like you. We’ve grown out of quarreling 24/7 over petty things and moved on to arguing like two adults (really). Though you keep saying that I look older, I’ll always look up to you and not just because you’re taller. Don’t feel too pressured even though you may feel like we’re pinning all our hopes on you. But really, we’re just always praying that all your dreams will come true and all your efforts will pay off. But with the amount of passion you put into your doctor duties, I’m sure that things will turn out pretty well.

Happy birthday to the first person I fangirled with and the first person I told my crush to. Happy birthday to my family’s future doctor. Happy birthday, ate! 🙂

Kynan’s 7th

February 27, 2013

IMG_0249IMG_0187 IMG_0368 IMG_0355 IMG_0379 IMG_0382IMG_0425 IMG_0363 kynan IMG_0412 IMG_0360 IMG_0495 IMG_0380 IMG_0236

Kynan’s the baby brother I never had, maybe that’s why my parents, sibling and I spoil him rotten from time to time. He celebrated his 7th birthday last week and had his party last Sunday. It was fun, as you can see from his reactions. I have a whole lot of other candid shots of this cutie but I am afraid it’s all too much to fit in one post!

I wish more birthdays for my favorite weekend playmate and oftentimes mortal enemy. Haha. I also wish him more teeth, but I’m pretty sure I’d miss his toothless smile. Isn’t it precious? 🙂
