You don’t have to remind me that my birthday’s still five months away. I know that already. But I also know that no one besides my parents would give me a gift anyway, so most of the things on my wishlist would be out of my own pocket. Heh. I started saving during the last quarter of last year. I am excited, really.
I guess what I really like about working is how I no longer have to depend on my parents for the things I want. Like, if I want to buy something, I wouldn’t have to wash the dishes so I could ask them calmly is it’s okay for them to buy me something. Ha. Not that I really do that but I hope you get my point. Anyway, a lot of things I want are pretty general and quite necessary. You’ll see what I mean.
I guess it’s pretty much a given but I swear I’d buy most of these books by the end of the year. It’s impossible to buy and read everything by my birthday. I’m not a fast reader and that makes me sad.
2. Canon EF 50mm f1./8
So my kit lens is already malfunctioning and would only let me take a picture if I zoom it. Also, I can no longer use the manual function. I used to desire this lens just because but now I really need a lens I can use 24/7. I also have a wide-angle and telephoto lens but they’re not exactly ideal for everyday use.
3. Book light
My roommates are early sleepers and we don’t really talk to each other. I feel shy to stay up all night reading since that means I’d be disturbing their sleep or something.. They usually sleep at around 8 to 9 PM. (I guess they like sleeping. Hehe.) I just want to read until 11 or 12 but I am always nagged by my conscience to turn off the lights early. K. I don’t know where to buy a book light, though! Help?
4. My digicam’s USB cord
Because I misplaced the original one! OMG RANT FOREVER.
5. Shoes
I just can’t stop buying them! Of course there’s no way I’d buy expensive ones like those in the photo. I’m cheap so I’d just probably drag some friends to go to Liliw with me.
6. External DVD-ROM
I can’t remember the exact time my dvd-rom stopped functioning properly. Anyway, I just need this so I can finally start watching How I Met Your Mother. Also, I need my Korean Tutorial DVD to work. Hehe.
7. Dresses!
We don’t really have any dress code for work but I still like dressing up sometimes. I feel like I’ve been wearing pants all my life. I just want to dress more femininely, if that’s a word. But I’d probably end up buying cheap dresses at divisoria. Hee.
8. LaCie external hard disk 1TB
So last October, my external HD got stolen. In there were all my academic files, including the soft copy of my undergrad thesis. I creys. Anyway, gazillion movies and dramas and photos(!) were lost along with it. There’s no way of bringing them back but I seriously need an external HD. I’ve been saving for this the whole month, starving myself (okay, not really) just so I’d have enough money to buy this. I’m excited, OKAAAAAAY. SOON SOON SOON. And I want a LaCie one since I got kind of attached with my stolen one. I’m pretty much a sentimentalist.
9. Keep Your Head Down
I’m still not sure if I’d buy this album because I don’t really buy their albums. Heh. But OMG it just breaks my heart that some fans are boycotting DBSK’s latest album. I know they can’t accept that they used DBSK’s name but boycotting SM by not buying the album means boycotting HoMin, too. I need to save more for this though. Why is it so hard to be a fan with not enough money to buy all their merchandise? WAE? WAE? WAE?

I feel a little guilty for wanting so many things. I said I’d really try to save this year but I hope I’d be able to do it. You know what I learned so far? Buying little trinkets (like notebooks, pens, cute stuff) almost every other day can really consume a huge part of my budget. So yes, let’s avoid buying unnecessary stuff and I don’t care if that notebook is too cute to resist.
P.S. My birthday’s on June 2, in case you want to give me a gift.
P.P.S. I know my list isn’t very “grown up”.
