Oh Shoot Wishlist

November 30, 2011

My parents always tell me to dream big, and this is me dreaming big.

I know I haven’t been that much into photography lately. I am often too lazy to take photos and too lazy to pose for the camera. But I want to get my photography mojo back, and I will try to get it back by the end of this year. Anyway, I was just planning to create a Christmas wishlist but I realized that most of the things I want are photography-related. Heh. So I created this wishlist instead. I arranged this according to priority. Yes, I have sorted out my priorities in case Ron Weasley asks.

1. EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 (Bought a Tamron 18-135 mm instead! Still from Dbgadgets)

This is just like my broken kit lens! I just really need a standard zoom lens and this is the cheapest in the market. Lulz. Will probably buy it here this month.

2. Holga 135

EEEEEH. I’m so excited to buy this, okay. Cannot wait to try film (though I sucked at it during DEVC140 Basic Photography days)! I intentionally wanted to buy the 120N since it’s cheaper. However, the 135 has an easier-to-find film format so I opt for that. This one’s only P3,000 I think. Not bad for a camera! I can also take multiple exposures using the 135 and that’s the number one reason why I want this. I’m just not sure where to buy one. I saw one in ebay (for only P1,559!!!) but I don’t have a Paypal account. I think Holga 135BC is offered more in local online shops but I’m not so hot about the black corners.

3. LC-A+

Bahahahaha. It’s quite expensive (P14,000!) so I’m giving this little priority. Huhu. But based on the reviews I’ve read, this is one of the best film cameras around. The sample shots I’ve seen are pretty lovely, too.

4. Fuji Instax Wide Instant Camera

I fell in love with Fujifilm Instax the first time I saw it. This one’s not the cheapest Instax, but I like that the photos are a bit wider than the other ones. The film format for this one is easier to find, too. But it’s also quite pricey that I’d probably end up hungry every week just to afford the film sheets. That’s the reason why I’d probably buy this last or something. I just want to fulfill my Polaroid dream, okay! This is the closest I’d ever get.

5. Yellow Fisheye

It’s yellow and it’s a fisheye camera. Need I say more? Uhm, it’s also quite cheap, too, so I really want to buy one. Huhu. But it’s not that practical so I’m still contemplating about it.

6. Holga Lens for Canon dSLR

I have three valid reasons to buy this: 1.) only P1000; 2.) a Holga lens, HOLGAAAA; and 3.) available in different colors meaning I can get a yellow one. So, so, so excited for this.

7. Holga HL-C 9 in 1 Lens Kit for Canon

HUHUHU. NINE lenses in 1! But it’s not cheap (P4K+) and I don’t know. Maybe if I could find a local seller that offers this at the same (or lower) price, then I’ll definitely buy it. Can’t stop thinking about this.

8. Fisheye lens for dSLR

WAAAAH. I don’t know. It’s not that cheap but it’s still affordable. I love anything fisheye and this would definitely save on money for film. Just thinking about digital fisheye photos makes me salivate.

Heuk, I’m so confused. I have so many things I want to buy. Huuuu. Anyway, you might think that it’s just cameras I want but that’s not true! I actually want a lot of things. That’s my materialistic self talking.  If you’re thinking of buying me anything for Christmas or for my birthday (JUNE 2), here are some things I would love to receive from you:

  1. Black iPod Touch 8GB. The only reason I want this is because of the instagram. Heh.
  2. Wand Scanner. My parents told me to have a digital copy of all our old photos and this will make my job easier. Also, my father is giving me his old manual SLR and I’m planning to try film photography sooooon.  So I’d need something to scan my fail photos.
  3. A tripod. I’ve been planning to buy a decent one since forever.
  4. A Dance with Dragons paperback. There’s still no news when they’ll release a paperback issue in the Philippines. I really hope they’ll release it soon. Huhu.
  5. Button-down shirts. A denim one or a white one please. Or floral ones or polka-dots or any print, really.
  6. Yellow cardigan. Dark blue cardigan. Violet Cardigan. Red cardigan. Etc.
  7. Flats and more flats! I am using only two flats right now and it’s crippling. I’m becoming a shoe addict, obviously.
  8. Wedges. It’s obvious I need the extra height. And I’ve been told a lot that I look better when wearing heels. I tend to listen to others’ opinion. Heh.
  9. Bags! Not pictured because I forgot and too lazy to edit the collage. I just want more bags because I’m a bag-a-holic.
  10. Asian tour! (Also not pictured heh)

I’m pretty sure no one would give my anything on this list so I’m planning again to work my ass out for this. (Or hope my parents would help me out a little. Heh.) My wishlist for 2011 was pretty successful. Crossed out everything! I’m wishing the same for this year. But that’s quite impossible. Heh.

Nice list you have here! It just takes a little time each day to take pictures and work on photography. I re-fueled my passion just recently and having a creative outlet was something I was desperately missing. I hope you get your gifts!
