One day, Ate Marco asked everyone in the office who wants to go to Magnum Opus Fine Coffees with her. Unsurprisingly, only those who drink coffee said yes. After all, who’s willing to go all the way to Parañaque just to drink coffee, right? So yesterday, a rather rainy day, we went to the said cafe and had the first meeting of Coffee Club. Not so sure if this is a one time thing, but we’re planning to go to other artisan cafes! It’s pretty exciting!
I’m not sure how to describe the interior. All I know is that it seems too small for the hordes of people willing to taste their coffee. But it was warm and it was cozy. We spent a few hours inside and felt comfortable indeed.
I love coffee, but I have to admit that I’m no expert at it. I’m a 3-in-1 coffee person because that’s the only coffee my budget would allow me on a daily basis. Huhu. But I love my barako coffee and from time to time, I like to splurge on the real thing. And I’m glad that for the Coffee Club’s first meeting, we went to Magnum Opus.
We were greeted by the owner himself, and by the way he interacted with us and with the way he made our coffee, it was clear how much he loves what he’s doing. And I felt a little jealousy because he’s someone I could only aspire to be. Here’s someone who’s clearly passionate about coffee and he’s doing something amazing by sharing what he loves with others. Okay, I may be getting a bit too sentimental on this. Haha.

My Hand-brewed Single Origin Coffee Bukidnon Datu Pepe!
Different from the coffee I usually drink so I’m not sure if I really like it.
The ghost of a heart on Ate Joycy’s Belgian Heartbreaker!
So so so so so good, wish I ordered this one.
Ate Marco’s Piccolo Latte which is also yummy.
Eunise’s Latte which I didn’t get to taste </3
Monte Cristo a.k.a. HEAVEN. Make sure to try this one!
It’s so far (I’m from Makati!) but I really want to go back and try the Belgian Heartbreaker. I really enjoyed my day. I guess a holiday afternoon is truly best spent with coffee and friends! Till next time, Coffee Club. 🙂
