Divisoria Loot 2.0

This, by far, is my best Divisoria trip. I’m not exactly sure why but I was smiling like an idiot the entire day just because of my Divisoria trip. I was actually on a prissy mood the day before because Ate Karen, Ate Ninay, and I were supposed to book a flight to Thailand last 11.11.11 because of the P11 promo. HUHUHU. But because of our stupid internet, the slots sold out! I got so depressed that I wanted to cry. I just really want to go to Thailand because I’m so obsessed with Thai boys movies right now.

To cure my shallow depression, I decided not to hold back when Ayessa and I go to Divisoria the next day! And I didn’t, and I’m so glad that I finally let loose on money a little. I’ve been so stingy the whole year but I guess it’s time that I enjoy my hard-earned (questionable, indeed) money. I REGRET NOTHING.

I don’t know. Maybe I just loved the trip so much because it made me feel grown-up. Even though I’m already working, I rarely spend money on clothes, bags, etc. This is actually the first time I went to Divisoria and shopped using my own money. I guess it’s the reason why it’s so fulfilling. Who know. Maybe the trip just made me happy because I simply love shopping and I’m just spewing reasons to convince myself that I’m not a shopaholic. No, I’m not yet a shopaholic.

Ayessa and I arrived at Divisoria at around 8AM. We decided to go early to avoid the crowd. There were still tons of people but the crowd wasn’t so bad.  We walked from Binondo to Divisoria and I must say that the sidewalk stands offer a lot of good stuff for a really cheap price. Before we even reached 168 mall, we already bought a lot of stuff from the sidewalk vendores that are definitely way cheaper compared to the ones in 168.

Sleeveless tops (3 for P100).  The texture’s quite nice, and it’s not so thin. I have tons of short-sleeved cardigans and I’ve been looking for sleeveless and spaghetti tops to wear them with.

Plain shirts (all for P300). I’m going to use the blue ones for my SuckSeed shirt! Hee. I’m still not done with the logo but I’ll finish it this weekend. I’m thinking if I should use the white one for another SuckSeed shirt or a Harry Potter one. I don’t knoooooow.

Yellow watch (P75). Hee. I just think it’s too cute, and my yellow watch is so dirty now. But it’s already broken. ;____;

Black and Blue shorts (2 for P150). Yaaay. I finally bought shorts! My old ones no longer fit me because of reasons I’ve said over and over again.

GAH. I’d already bought all that and we hadn’t even reached the 168 mall yet! So the following are the ones I bought in 168 mall.

Denim shorts (P250). I’ve been looking everywhere for a pair of denim shorts that isn’t too short, and I finally found one. I’m in love with it and I’d wear it so much it would hate me.

Black Cardigan (P250), Gray Cardigan (P250), & Red Semi-cardigan WHAT (P150). Yaaaay. I’d been looking everywhere for a black cardigan but they were often too long (I’m short) or too pricey (I’m cheap). The gray cardigan, which isn’t pictured, was supposed to be for my cousin but it doesn’t fit her so it’s mine! I like it, too, so it’s fine. The red one’s for my sister. I asked my sister if she wants anything so I could buy it and she just said, “Pasalubong!” So I bought that red one for her. When I got home, she went on and on and on about the things she said I should have bought. Mwahaha. Whatever. She can just share anything I bought because we share everything anyway. Hee.

Long necklace with a  heart pendant (P60) and Pseudo-earphones necklace (P170). Ayessa gave me the heart necklace and even let me choose the design. Hee. Thanks, Ayessa! As for the pseudo-earphones, I debated over buying it since it’s too expensive for me but it’s too cute to pass up. I’m so excited to wear it. Haha.

Hello Kitty Hoodie (P250). I am so excited to wear this. I don’t usually wear attention-grabbing clothes but how can you resist this? HOW? I’m not the biggest Hello Kitty fan but I’m in love with the print of this one. Also, I love this hoodie since it will hide all my fats. PERFECT.

Ponies (P15 each). I bought it for Miki!

Angry Birds band (P25). This one’s for Kynan. Heh. He was so sweet when I gave it to him. He was hugging and kissing me all night. He’s such a sweet kid when he’s not throwing a tantrum.

Gray belt (P150) and black belt (P80). I was in a  desperate need of belts.

Dress (P400). The color’s a bit different in person, though. I planned to buy tons of dresses but end up buying only one. Heh. But this one’s enough since it’s cute and it hides all my fats. Yes, that’s actually the first thing I look for when buying clothes. Don’t judge me.

Dirty Pink (WHAT) Wedges (P500). I’m not a pink lover and I actually don’t like pastel pink. But this one looks too cute, okay? I’m all for wedges now and I had been looking to expand my choices. This one’s perfect, to complement my too dark clothes. I have worn it once and have tripped about 10 times. But you don’t need to worry because I’m fine. Heh.

Black Jelly Wedges (P550). Did I really buy this? Did Jane really buy this? Uhm, yeah. I am no fashionista, okay, but I decided to not to hold back and just wear and buy anything once. I’ll only be young once and I wouldn’t be able to wear shoes like this when I’m 40. So there. Bought it without even thinking twice. I’ve already worn it once and I love love love it.

The night before our Divisoria trip, Ayessa and I went to an ukay-ukay near our dorm since we saw a huge SALE sign. I love ukay-ukay! If you’ll look hard enough, you’ll find cute clothes. Heehee.

Stripes with hearts dress (P100). I know this is something a high school student would wear but I don’t careeee. It’s cheap and it fits me so I bought it. That’s the line of thinking of a shopaholic.

Floral dress (P85). I love this one!!! My mother saw it and thought it was a shirt. No mother, I’m petite and I’ll wear that as a dress.

Green checkered hoodie (P85). WAAAAAAH. Even though it’s missing a button I donnut care. I’m still excited to wear this! Ayessa bought a red checkered one and we plan to wear it at the same time. Hahaha.

To my surprise, I didn’t any polka dots! And the only thing yellow is the watch. I’m starting to think that my choice in clothes is starting to be more grown-up. But then again, I just bought a Hello Kitty hoodie. Hee. I also planned to buy a bag but I couldn’t find one I really like and I ran out of money. Lulz. My total spending’s around P3000 but I don’t mind. It’s not like I do it all the time and I rarely buy clothes now.

I spent a lot that day but I’m just so happy because I learned a little to let go of money. I was so proud with my spendings and even bragged to my boyfriend that I finally splurged on shopping after more than a year of working. Our little conversation went a little like this:

AKO: Hulaan mo kung magkano nagastos ko lahat-lahat sa Divisoria?

ALEX: 500?

AKO: ‘Yung isang sapatos.

ALEX: Gumagastos ka na ng ganun ngayon? Kaya mo ng bumili ng sapatos na tig-500. Nakakaiyak. I’m so proud of you.

See? Even my boyfriend’s proud that I’m learning to spend my money. *pats self*
