I’m Home

March 15, 2011

Last Saturday, I went back to Elbi to watch my Alex’s volleyball game. It’s basically the highlight of my month because no matter where I am, Elbi will always be my home. I was smiling the whole time just because I was in Elbi, and no hunger or fatigue could have brought me down.

Alex told me to not take photos during the game since the fact that I was watching already made him self-conscious. Being the good girlfriend that I am (heh), I didn’t take photos of the actual game! And I suck at action photography anyway so even if I did, it would be ugly and grainy and underexposed. I felt like a high school girl watching her crush’s volleyball game during Intramurals. Ah, I miss high school.

The truth is, I’ve been wishing that Alex had been my high school classmate. I just want to see him in a school uniform! Also, being the fangirl that I am, I had been wishing to cheer him on while playing something.  And I am not disappointed. It’s nice to see him playing sports. He’s always sleeping or playing Ragnarok that it’s just hard to imagine him being all energetic and sporty. And he was good. I knew he’d be good. He has this tendency to be good at anything he does. YES I AM A PROUD GF, OKAY.

From 9AM to 2PM, we were at Baker Hall for his so-called PE Day. I thought it was just one game but his team won all the games and went on to compete with the Varsity team of UP Rural. I was hungry and dying because I usually eat lunch at 11PM, but we got to eat lunch at around 3PM. We ate lunch at Sizzlers and was more than happy to finally eat their Sisig again!

Besides Alex, the other things I miss in Elbi are the food, the atmosphere, and the thrift shop. Any book lover should take a trip to Elbi’s thrift shop and be lost among the rows of books in the second floor. It was awesome, okay. Another thing I love is how I can wear anything in Elbi and no one will judge me. I just feel like my simple clothing is out of place in Makati. But in Elbi, my loose shirt, skinny jeans, and flip flops belong. I miss Elbi and I won’t be tired of saying that.

Hello, I'm Janey. I'm a fangirl, a bookworm, a dreamer and a wannabe writer. I'm a couch potato and a traveler rolled into one.
This is my lame attempt to be a travel blogger, but honestly, this is just an archive of my daily reality.
